Lakets collects information to provide and improve our local marketplace services. We collect the following types of information:

Information You Provide Directly

• Phone number: Used for account registration, login, and secure OTP verification.
• Name & profile data: Account display name, shop name, profile photos, bio, and business category.
• Photos, Videos & Camera: Product images for listings, identity verification photos (KYC selfie taken via camera), and national ID card images. During identity verification, the app performs on-device face detection (Google ML Kit) on your selfie to confirm that a face is present. This runs on-device and is not used for advertising.
• Chat Messages & Microphone: Text, images, voice notes recorded via microphone, and file attachments sent through our in-app chat.
• Listing data: Product details, pricing, item condition, and categorization.

Information Collected Automatically

• Location Data: Used to display listings near your current location (explicit user permission required).
• Device Information: Device model, operating system version, and unique Device ID.
• Push Notification Token (FCM Token): Used to deliver real-time chat messages and transaction alerts.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected data for the following purposes:

• To create, manage, and secure your personal user account.
• To display local listings and connect local buyers and sellers effectively.
• To deliver real-time push notifications for chat replies and system updates.
• To conduct seller identity verification (KYC) to prevent scams and promote a trusted community.
• To debug app issues, monitor performance, and introduce new software enhancements.

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Your data is only shared with trusted service providers to make the app function properly:

• Firebase (Google): Used solely to manage push notifications (FCM).
• Shorebird: Delivers over-the-air (OTA) app updates and receives app-version, install, and device identifiers.
• Cloudflare: For network security, DDoS protection, and load speed optimization.
• Other Platform Users: Your public profile, shop details, and active listings are visible to anyone on the platform.

4. Data Retention & Deletion

• Retention Policy: Your account data is retained for as long as your account remains active.
• Right to Deletion: You have the right to request the permanent deletion of your account at any time directly inside the app (Settings → Delete Account).
• Anonymization: Upon account deletion, all personally identifiable data is permanently deleted or anonymized in compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA).

5. Security Measures

We implement industry-standard security measures to safeguard your personal data:

• All network communication is strictly encrypted via secure HTTPS protocol.
• Sensitive actions require confirmation via secure PIN and OTP verification.
• Support for secure device-level Biometrics (Face ID, Touch ID, or fingerprint scanning).
• Robust session token management with automated security timeouts.

6. Your Rights

As a user, you hold the following rights regarding your data:

• The right to access and edit your personal profile information.
• The right to request the permanent deletion of your account and all associated data.
• The right to withdraw permissions (such as disabling Location, Camera, Microphone, or Notifications in your device settings at any time).
